Stacks on stacks … of books, that is.

The semester is just about over for me. It was rough less as a result of my workload and scheduling and more because of a grand shift in a number of personal relationships. I have a feeling that something monumental occurred in the last few months though I can’t fully see or grasp its importance just yet. I do know it has been exhausting.

Anyway, because I’m feeling pretty well into the healing process on those multiple fronts, I’m more interested in thinking and talking about other things. Like books, for instance. I was just reflecting on the types of non-LIS books I’ve used for research, read for pleasure, or referenced pretty heavily this past semester. So offhand, here are those that touched my life in some fashion over the last three months some are old friends, already part of my life and others are newer.

I’ve already made a pledge to read more fiction in the coming year. I’ll try to post some periodic updates as I do. I think it’ll be a healing and restorative thing to do.
